AHT Group (previously known as Adelaide Health Tech) is widely considered to be one of South Australia’s leading industry specialists, delivering communication, technology and electrical services.
AHT was initially formed to service the needs of the old Royal Adelaide Hospital, where we spent 20 years contributing our efforts as the electrical and communications project team, servicing all the hospital’s infrastructure and sustainment needs. In 2013, the works contributed by the team were transferred to the Across Government Facilities Management Agreement (AGFMA) Contract, which is when Adelaide Health Tech was formalised as its own entity.
At the time, with the new Royal Adelaide Hospital also under construction, AHT identified the need to diversify, prompting our expansion into other health environments and the education sector, as well as taking on some commercial work, leveraging on our experience for delivering accurate, compliant work in sensitive environments.
We also recognized that our client wasn’t just the hospital, but also the patients, visitors and general public. This background experience meant AHT were well-placed to move into the education sector, which has similar needs and is closely aligned with health. We are very proud of our core purpose to help keep those environments safe, and at the forefront of technology that assists these communities.
Despite our diversification, our passion is providing highly specialized services and products for our core, valued Health and Education clients, where we understand the specific compliance requirements for their facilities.
Throughout our years of experience, AHT has demonstrated our expertise in installing and servicing health, education and commercial campus electrical and lighting systems, nurse call systems, communications and structured cabling, information communication technology (ICT) networks, building management systems (BMS) and systems monitoring, closed-circuit television (CCTV), master antenna television (MATV), security and audio-visual to name a few. AHT have put significant effort into compliance, resourcing and training our staff in the Licensing, Australian Standards and industry accreditations that govern the products and services we deliver.
Our team needs to understand the standards so that facility managers and key stakeholders can trust them to deliver compliant systems. Our team take ownership of their work, knowing that what we do is vital for our core clients and communities, for all stakeholders safety and wellbeing. Overarchingly, we see our people as our greatest asset.
To continue to support our people and our clients we have chosen to redevelop our property at Beverley and in the near future will boast a state of the art facility that encompasses the entire business under one roof and provide training, demonstration and warehousing facilities to continue our passion of meeting and exceeding our customer needs.
We are very proud of the people within our company – they are exceptional. We have several who have won apprentice of the year awards in various electrical fields and as a group their tremendous efforts have resulted in us being awarded Spotless “Trusted Partner” three years in succession.
